Endodontic Retreatment

Traditional root canal therapy is over 90% successful, but occasionally the tooth may fail to heal, or pain may continue to exist. Sometimes, the pain may occur months or even years after initial treatment. If this does occur, our board-certified endodontist can perform endodontic retreatment to restore the tooth back to its natural state.

Check out the video below for a quick, yet thorough explanation of endodontic retreatment.

What happens after endodontic retreatment?

After retreatment, it is important to return to your dentist within two to three weeks to have a new crown or restoration placed. This will restore the tooth to full function with a long-lasting result.
